Gold for Wingspan in world's top science journalism prize
The final session of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers in Stockholm in December 2016 took the form of a competition to see which extract from the world’s 2016 programming most elegantly explained complex science. This clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2DdmEBXTpo from ‘The Joy of Data’, presented by Hannah Fry and produced and directed by Cat Gale, won Congress’s so-called ‘Noble’ Prize, triumphing over fellow finalists Brian Cox’s ‘Forces of Nature’, WGBH’s Nova and Morgan Freeman’s Through the Wormhole.
